Nom Nom kids are the weaning tool that toddlers can carry straight through to school. Unlike so many purchases around the weaning stage, you really get enough bang for your buck with these little pouches! They are not a one hit wonder!
So you’re in Dingle Co. Kerry what more do you need, one of the best places in the country and many would say the world! There’s activities, eateries and sight seeing opportunities as far as the eye can see in Dingle but I’m putting together my very specific Toddler recommendations. You know the babies who now need entertaining yet aren’t old enough to be left at structured activities like water sports, Pony trekking and pottery!
Baby number two is on the way! Post Fertility treatment bliss and relief was replaced with extreme nausea and aversions to most food other than toast and general white carbohydrates! So really healthy! It’s weird this time you do everything on your own because someone needs to mind Ned where as last time we were like loves young dream going to every appointment hand in hand.
Mome is a collection of positive affirmation cards designed for men, woman and children alike. They are beautifully designed by a wonderful graphic designer Niamh McMahon. A proud Limerick woman like myself. This lady really has her finger on the pulse knowing what is quickly becoming a priority in every modern household! Positive thinking and mindfulness are on the tip of everyone’s tongue and something we all strive to incorporate more of into our lives every day.
I was never one for wanting a whole brood of Babies! in fact, I didn’t really pay that much attention to babies before my own! Let’s just say I was not a Baby sniffer! I’ve always worked with children and teenagers and enjoyed that so much …. I guess, I thought that’s where all the action was, so to speak. Diagnosed with severe polycystic ovaries at an early age, it was probably self-preservation to repeatedly insist that “the yearn” wasn’t really there, because who knew what life had in store for me. This is for the Mamas who inspired, encouraged Ned helped me through my first year of motherhood. To my amazing friends and family both physical and virtual! Mother’s Day seems a most appropriate a time to publish this. This is not a blissful blog about how my heart has never felt so full of love and how every burp my baby makes my life seem worth while. Why? Oh why,do we compare our babies? As a new mum,I’ve become so aware of the milestones and the box ticking that goes on with a new baby, especially in the first year. A lot of this is fuelled, and rightly so in the right context,by our health system. In the beginning it puts amazing pressure on you, weights, ounces, solids, hand eye coordination, clapping hands, smiling, sitting, farting…Lord you name it they’ve an “appropriate”age for it! This pressure wore off me in the later six months when Ned was well weaned, a big boy to say the least and content in my eyes. But I know many of my friends continued to feel the pressure for so many things and so many aspects of raising their little baby. Often, purely fuelled by comparison!
This recipe is exactly what it says on the tin, a good old fashioned pancake recipe. It’s not dairy free or gluten free or low fat or made with wholewheat or spelt or bananas! It’s just a simple pancake recipe like the ones we grew up with.
Nature or nurture hmmmm…
Watching the relationship between a three-year old sausage dog , raised and trained by humans, and a new born baby is pure theatre. Also, factor in that the new born is developing in to less new-born and more man baby with each day! Overall this scenario would overwhelm your mind set on the discussion of Nature and Nurture!
The strangest thing said to me when I announced I was pregnant was not “congratulations, when are you due? “………no , it was “ohh what about the dog?”
Hmmm… This, still to this day, baffles me……WelI,….I Guess ..now we’ve the hope of a “real” baby it’s to the pound with Mulligan! It was nice while it lasted Mulli, thanks for the good times.! Continue reading
Ned absolutely devoured this bad boy! It was simple to make and convenient in the little NomNom kids pouches. He gobbled it all independently. Smoothies are a great way of using fruit and getting a portion or two into a toddler who has decided they don’t like fruit this week and you’ve bought loads thinking othe wise! Continue reading
